after the monkey island, the guide took us by a dead boat shipyard
and then to another island with a small restaurant,
where i had the best tostones y queso con salsa on the whole trip.
after stuffing our faces and resting, we headed back to the mainland.

there are plenty of stray dogs in nicaragua, so seeing a cat is rarity.
(though i ended up seeing a lot more by the end of the trip.)

this is how clothes get clean in nicaragua.
(one thing we noticed was that while nicaragua is very dusty and hot,
everyone's clothes were always pristine and clean. the whites were very white.
nicaraguans take pride in the way they look.)
